Additional Weekly Activities
Action Kids
Action Kids is a programme for physical education for children under 5, which we filter into our weekly planning. For this we have equipment consisting of balls, bats and small mats in different shapes, hands, feet, spots and an action musical CD. Our activities are carried out both indoors and outdoors.

From time to time we are also joined by large African land snails, stick insects and a worm garden which is based in Pre-School.
The children are encouraged to assist with daily feeding, cleaning, overall care and regular health checks.
Music Time
On a Tuesday we enjoy a fun packed music session with Sally, with whom we have oodles of fun and frolics with instruments, elastic, singing, dancing, stretchy material, netting, teddies and much more.
Within the Nursery we have a wide range of instruments for our little treasures to enjoy as well as lots of songs and rhymes to learn. We also have some musical friends (hand puppets) that help us from time to time, Sheila, Henrietta, Oscar, Nicholas and Joe who are great fun to use and encourage the development of rhythm and beat.
Ballet
We have a qualified ballet teacher who comes into the Nursery every Monday morning between 10.00 am and 11.00 am to enjoy a special area of physical play. Each week the children play action songs, dance to music, experiencing rhythm, timing and moving at different speeds, miming, standing in ballet positions and singing. A lot of children also go on to carry out little exams and are rewarded for their talents.
French Club
We have a qualified French teacher who joins us on a Thursday morning for a 30 minute French session with our Pre-School children. This includes early French language by way of food, objects, colours, numbers and games.
